When to Get a Second Covid-19 Booster Shot

Abstract

This editorial addresses the ongoing global concern surrounding SARS-CoV-2 and discusses the optimal timing for administering a second Covid-19 booster. Based on an audio interview conducted April 10, 2023, between NEJM editors Eric J. Rubin, Lindsey R. Baden, and Stephen Morrissey, the piece explores physician guidance for transmission, diagnosis, treatment, and recent updates regarding Covid-19 vaccination strategy. Two studies on RSV vaccine development are also briefly mentioned.
