Smart Home based on Internet of Things and Ethical Issues

Abstract

With the growing popularity of the Internet of Things, smart home applications are developing gradually and bring convenience to users' lives. This paper introduces the three-layer IoT architecture, smart home features, data analytics processes, and outlines key ethical issues—security and privacy vulnerabilities, improper data collection, and data abuse. It concludes with user perceptions and recommendations to enhance ethical protections and responsible data practices.
