Abstract

This perspective article explores how medically tailored meals can mitigate the health impacts of food insecurity, particularly among marginalized populations in the United States. It highlights collaborative efforts between healthcare institutions and community organizations to deliver customized meals for patients with chronic illnesses. The article presents evidence from randomized trials and observational studies showing improvements in diet quality, mental health, and reduced healthcare utilization.
