Receipt of mRNA Vaccine against Covid-19 and Myocarditis
Abstract
This editorial discusses myocarditis as a rare potential side effect of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, particularly in young males. It reviews two retrospective Israeli studies that identified cases of myocarditis post-vaccination, noting that most cases were mild and self-resolving. The article emphasizes the challenges in diagnosing myocarditis and highlights the importance of vaccination despite the low risk, as myocarditis has also been associated with COVID-19 infection itself.
