Atrioventricular Dissociation during Ventricular Fibrillation
Abstract
A 50-year-old woman with a history of bicuspid cardiac transplantation presented with acute cellular rejection, leading to ventricular fibrillation and hemodynamic collapse. Imaging revealed atrioventricular dissociation preserved right atrial contractility (evidenced by a pulsatile central venous waveform) coexisting with ventricular standstill and thrombus formation.
