Abortion during the Covid-19 Pandemic — Ensuring Access to an Essential Health Service
Abstract

It critiques state level policies suspending abortion care under the guise of preserving PPE, highlighting how such restrictions exacerbate health risks and inequality. The authors emphasize the time sensitive nature of abortion, its role in women’s autonomy, and the medical profession’s responsibility to advocate for uninterrupted access. They call for solidarity among health professionals to protect abortion infrastructure during and beyond the pandemic.
