Cervical Cancer
Abstract
This comprehensive review outlines the global burden, pathogenesis, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cervical cancer. It highlights the critical role of human papillomavirus (HPV) in carcinogenesis, the effectiveness of screening methods, and the global impact of vaccination. Advances in management—ranging from surgery and chemoradiation to immunotherapy and antibody–drug conjugates—are discussed in the context of staging and disease progression. The article emphasizes new clinical guidelines, trials, and therapeutic strategies including PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, underscoring the potential for cervical cancer elimination through integrated public health and medical interventions.
