Condylomata Lata
Abstract
A 17 year old girl presented with pruritic genital lesions following unprotected intercourse. Examination revealed smooth, grayish white papules on the vulva and inner thighs. Serologic testing confirmed secondary syphilis (positive Treponema pallidum particle agglutination assay, RPR titer 1:16). The lesions, diagnosed as condylomata lata (distinct from genital warts by their moist, non-verrucous appearance), resolved after intramuscular penicillin G benzathine therapy. RPR titer declined to 1:8 at follow up.
